The Covenant Car Company, Inc. (TCCI), the exclusive distributor of Chevrolet vehicle and parts in the Philippines, has some good news for its customers. Three of the bowtie brand’s dealers were recognized during the General Motors (GM) Southeast Asia Grandmasters as one of the best performing branches in the region.
The GM SEA Grandmasters is an event that rewards the brand’s ‘best of the best’ dealers in Southeast Asia. Winners, which include dealerships from Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam, are selected based on their performance on vehicle and parts sales, service, customer satisfaction, and facility standards.
Among the 28 dealerships in the Philippines, three were given top honors for their exemplary service namely Chevrolet Pasig (Metro Manila Dealer of the Year), Chevrolet Cebu (Regional Dealer of the Year), and Chevrolet Ilocos Norte (Rookie of the Year).
Our dealer partners are critical to our success. Thanks to their outstanding contributions and hard work, we grew our sales in Southeast Asia by 16 percent in 2017 compared to 2016. In the Philippines, our sales grew by 11 percent in 2017, thanks to great new vehicle launches. This is an achievement we should all be proud of and I want to thank all of our dealers for their hard work and commitment.
Aside from the awarding, the event also gave dealers the opportunity to test drive the brand’s award-winning products such as the Trailblazer SUV, which is available locally, and the Silverado pickup truck. In addition, GM outlined its vision of a world with zero crashes, emissions, and congestion.
As for new products, TCCCI launched the next-generation Malibu midsize sedan during the 2018 Manila International Auto Show. It features a sleek-looking exterior topped off with the brand’s two-port grille and bowtie badge, as well as a sporty front bumper. The all-new Malibu comes with a smaller yet more efficient 2.0 DOHC VVT turbocharged gasoline engine.
