Summer time is here and this usually means long trips to vacation spots with family or friends. In this blistering heat, you wouldn't want the A/C to fail you and your passengers. Here are 3 cool tips on how to maintain your car's air conditioning system so you can have a relaxing drive throughout.
Run the air conditioner at least once a week for a few minutes to maintain the Freon's pressure. This also keeps the hoses and compression seals from hardening thus preventing the leakage of Freon.
Take a look at the compressor and follow the hoses. Check for any sort of crack or leaks. If you see any, head to the nearest car repair shop or car dealership of your choice and have it replaced. Don't forget to have the Freon recharged as well.
Make sure you have your car's air conditioning system serviced at least every 2 years. The best way to go about it is to have it checked every Preventive Maintenance Service (PMS).
Before you go on that much awaited trip, make sure you've checked these 3 cool tips to avoid the summer heat. For a complete list of dealerships nationwide, visit the AutoDeal Car Brands page.
