When it comes to Korean cars, there are two big players currently, Kia and Hyundai. As part of the top pair of brands from their mother country, they’re the standard to which all other Korean cars are compared. Not only are these brands well-loved in their own countries, but several models also enjoy popularity and a lot of love internationally.
You’re in good hands when you buy a Korean car in 2023, and they’ve come a long way—even going as far as being able to compete with Japanese rivals. It was once a case of beating Japanese brands to the price point, but now we’re not too sure. Korean cars, stand on their own. Kia is one such brand that we’re particularly fond of. Back when it was first regaining lost ground in the market to now, Kia’s done a lot. So here are a couple of reasons why Kia vehicles are worth it to own in 2023.
Dealerships everywhere
You won’t have to worry about spare parts, experienced service technicians, and product know-how with Kia. The brand has promised to make itself available to everyone nationwide. If you check out the dealership list for Kia, up to 40 dealerships are included in the list and growing over time, with a vast majority of them being able to accommodate sales, service, and spare parts requests at a moment’s notice.
Kia Philippines also made it a goal to ensure customer satisfaction with its cars. You won’t have to worry about looking for a Kia dealer near you. It’s likely just a drive away and the brand also has assistance services that will give you a hand should you ever need it.
The brand has also promised that there will be a lot of spare parts available for customers. Kia mentioned before that it is standard practice for the brand and its dealerships to warehouse spare parts for its models. On top of that, logistics channels are there to deliver those parts from factories to dealerships in a reasonable amount of time.
Have you seen its cars lately?
If you haven’t been paying attention to the Kia brand in recent years, now’s probably the time to do so. For us, Kia’s come so far since the early days. From cheap cars to downright gorgeous models, the brand has undoubtedly created a great level of desirability for itself. Notable models that we’re definitely happy to see include the Kia Carnival, Kia Sorento, and the Kia Stinger, with the last entry making us the giddiest of all.
Have you seen the cars in its future?
We’re extremely happy to see that Kia Philippines is willing to move forward with the brand and the rest of the world. Kia’s one such brand that believes in full electrification, and we’re already getting a full look at the EV6 in the metal. It’s only a matter of time before we see even more EV6s on the road, and more models stocking the showroom floors.
With the EV6 being one of the models to beat in the EV space, currently, it will be interesting to see just how far Kia Philippines will take its EV models. It goes to show that Kia is a brand that cares about moving forward. There will be more EV models, and it’s likely that the brand will trickle them in slowly. As the Philippines enter a new era of mobility, Kia will be ready and waiting.
Value, style, and performance
There was once a time when Korean cars were simply alternatives to other brands, but in 2023, we think they’re real contenders. The Stonic is one of the top sellers in the lineup, offering consumers style and substance at a price that’s better or in line with the rest of the competition. Then we have the Carnival which is a strong offering, and one model that we see time and time again plying the roads of Metro Manila. Well-priced, and with competitive value-for-money propositions, the products stand on their own and are at par with the rest of the industry.
Kia’s done a number on some of the segments that it occupies, and we can’t wait to see more from the brand moving forward into the electric revolution.
Branding
There was once a time when buying a Kia made you “uncool,” but now that’s not really the case. If you bought one then, it might have raised a few eyebrows, but if you buy one now, it’s actually a nice break from the norm. Kia’s hungrier than ever to make sure that it stays ahead of the game. While its cars are doing quite well now, we can expect newer innovations to come in the future.
With the current badge of Kia as well, the Korean marque is committed to developing and producing better cars. The new logo is a sign of things to come and a sign of things that are already great as they are. With the current lineup of Kia looking as good as it is, we feel that its branding is already something of a selling point on top of the great deal that its cars present.
