Being family-oriented, Filipinos tend to go for 7-seater vehicles when buying a car – at least that’s what our data showed for the past 6 months. However, these types of vehicles often come with a hefty price tag. Fortunately, there are some which you could buy within 6 digits.

So, we dug up our car guide to get the vehicles that could accommodate 7 people (or more), which you could buy below P1 million. This list comprises mainly of MPVs, AUVs, and an SUV for you to choose from.

BAIC M20 (P578,000 – P608,000)

With its price range, the BAIC M20 is packed with features that are usually seen on pricey vehicles. Its 7-seater Luxury variant is fitted with projector headlamps, LCD touchscreen head unit, captain seats, and reverse sensors. It’s also equipped with dual airbags and Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) for the safety of its passengers.

Suzuki Ertiga (P665,000 – P918,000)

Aside from its stylish exterior design, the Suzuki Ertiga boasts an ample amount of interior space. With all seats erect, it can accommodate up to 135L of baggage and/or groceries behind the 3rd row. This can be further maximized to 736L by folding both the 2nd and 3rd rows.

Toyota Avanza (P675,000 – P924,000)

Ever since its facelift last year, car buyers have been consistently searching for the Toyota Avanza in our car guide. We can’t really blame them. The reliability that comes with its brand name has been proven over the years, not to mention the abundance of parts and service shops all over the country.

Mitsubishi Adventure (P690,000 – P975,000)

The Mitsubishi Adventure is one of those models that have gained immortality in the local market. Being 1 of the only 2 AUVs available today, it still gains traction with our buyers because of its 7 to 9 seating capacity (depends on the variant), whether for business or private use. The range-topping Super Sport variant comes with leather seats for 7 people and a 6.2-inch Touchscreen LCD head unit with navigation.

Honda Mobilio (P817,000 – P997,000)

Among the vehicles within the mini-MPV segment, the Honda Mobilio has the highest engine rating. Its 1.5L i-VTEC engine can deliver a maximum output of 120 hp and 145 Nm of torque. These figures can give you the pull when needed, especially when the car is filled with passengers.

Isuzu Crosswind XL (P844,000) and XT (P933,000)

The Isuzu Crosswind is the other AUV that still survives, albeit, only 2 of its variants fits this list. Both XL and XT variants can accomodate up to 9 people. The higher XT option is equipped with a more refined exterior and interior trims such as sport-designed bumper, silver painted grille, roof rails, 15-inch silver alloy rims, and a 4-speaker single in-dash head unit with USB and Auxiliary input.

FOTON Toplander 4x2 (P998,000)

The sole SUV in this list, the entry level variant of the FOTON Toplander is a capable vehicle that’s powered by a 2.8L Cummins ISF diesel engine. Its 220 mm ground clearance and muscular fascia exhumes authority, without missing out on features such as keyless entry system, brake assist, and backing up sensors.
