Hype’s an interesting word for Changan. Not only can it be used for marketing, but it’s also a family of variants. From the CS35 Plus to the CS55 Plus, the “hype” is real, and it’s a great value all things considered.
When it comes down to it, features and specifications can make or break a customer’s purchase. The length of a spec sheet doesn’t matter as much if the customer can’t find a use for all of the features listed within. Luckily for us, especially in the case of the CS55 Plus, Changan was able to fit in the features that matter, in line with what the rest of the industry considers “premium” and in line with what Changan feels is worth the “hype.”
Hyped about the bass
One headlining feature in the CS55 Plus is the Pioneer Premium Sound System. This is the first time that we’re seeing Pioneer putting their brand in a Chinese brand’s cabin, and we’re actually quite impressed with how the CS55 Plus’ sound held up even with the volume turned up. The bass remained powerful, the mids remained clear, and the highs were crisp. This level of aural enjoyment was once locked away in the more premium segment of vehicles, but Changan thinks that everyone should be able to experience sonic bliss while driving.
Hyped about lasting safety
Now, apart from the more pleasurable features in the Changan CS55 Plus’ spec sheet, there are also safety features that we cannot forget. Changan is thrilled to offer some of the most advanced safety systems available in the market today on the Hype variant of the CS55 Plus. The Hype brings in an Automatic Emergency Brake System that works in tandem with Forward Collision Warning. These two systems enhance the safety experience for the driver and for everyone else outside of the vehicle.
Adaptive cruise control is also one such feature many discerning consumers are looking for in cars. The ability to turn on cruise and let the car work its magic is definitely a nice luxury to have. Back then, cruise control was to be activated with caution, but with Changan’s adaptive system, that’s no longer the case anymore.
The final piece of the safety puzzle is a built-in dashboard camera that utilizes the CS55 Plus’ onboard panoramic camera. The system comes with an HD Driving Recorder System that gives a 540-degree virtual view of the car’s surroundings. Whether helping drivers park, navigate tight streets, or to review in the event of an accident, the CS55 Plus is prepared for all of that and more.
Worth the Hype?
You tell us. Changan is one of the fastest-growing brands in the Philippines, and that’s largely thanks to the value that their cars have. The Hype variant is one of the better deals in the lineup as it won’t leave you wanting, probably. You’ll find that the CS55’s Hype variant is more than enough to meet your needs, and it comes at a price that is worth the Hype. Just check it for yourself.
