Ford Philippines is celebrating a milestone for the Ranger Raptor 3.0L V6, which now has 1,000 proud owners in the country just one year after its launch. The high-performance pickup was first introduced at the Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) in October last year, and despite limited availability at the time, strong demand from buyers led Ford to officially add it to its local lineup by January.
Pedro Simoes, Managing Director and President of Ford Philippines, shared that the response to the Raptor V6 has been very strong, with many Filipinos using it not just for off-road trips but for daily driving as well. The vehicle’s mix of power, comfort, and capability fits the needs of many local drivers.
Built by Ford Performance, the Ranger Raptor 3.0L V6 uses a 3.0-liter twin-turbo EcoBoost engine and a 10-speed automatic transmission. It makes 392 hp of power and 583 Nm of torque. It also comes with FOX 2.5-inch Live Valve shock absorbers and seven drive modes, including Baja mode for faster off-road driving. These features help the truck stay steady and fun to drive, no matter the road.
Many Raptor V6 owners shared how the truck has changed their daily routines. Angel Santiago, who works as a system integrator and often drives long distances to meet clients, said that seeing the V6 version made him want to buy it even if he already had the older 2.0L diesel Raptor. Now, he drives the V6 regularly for work and says it makes client visits more exciting.
Another owner, Ivan Capati, recalled his solo road trip to La Union and Baguio during bad weather. Even with heavy rain and some flooding, he felt safe the entire time. He usually travels with someone in case of emergencies, but this time, he said the V6 made him feel confident and calm from start to finish.
Raptor club member Roger Aventurado shared that he has owned different Ranger pickups since 2018, but the V6 stands out the most. For him, it feels like a reward after years of hard work. He now drives it almost every day and considers it his favorite one so far.
Ken Chee, another club member, had also driven the 2.0L version before deciding to buy the V6 this year. While he already knew the older version was good, he said the 3.0L feels noticeably different, especially on bumpy roads.
Zainal Limpao, who also owns a Ford Everest, was one of the first to get the V6 last year. He brought his family on a trip from Cavite to Pangasinan in the Raptor, and even with the rain, the truck’s all-wheel drive and engine power helped make the drive smooth and stress-free.
One year after it hit local roads, the Raptor V6 has become more than just a performance truck. It’s now part of many people’s daily lives, offering both power and comfort for all kinds of trips.
