New for 2019, Mercedes Benz spices up their successful and versatile C-Class, featuring AMG technology and goodies. Extensive changes all across the board make the 2019 C43 Sedan a sportier choice.
Powered by an AMG-enhanced 3.0L biturbo V6, the C43 is good for 385 hp and 520 Nm of torque. This engine is paired to a nine-speed AMG Speedshift TCT automatic transmission, which was specifically designed for a dynamic driving experience. Keeping the power to the ground is AMG’s performance 4MATIC four-wheel drive system that has rear-biased torque distribution with a front/rear axle split of 31 to 69 percent.
The C43 features AMG ride control, an adaptive suspension system that adjusts the damping at each wheel according to drive modes and driving conditions. It can also accelerate from 0 to 100 kph in 4.6 seconds, and has an electronically limited top speed of 224 kph.

Dynamic select drive modes make a comeback, with an addition of a “slippery” mode. With "Comfort," "Sport," "Sport+", “Manual Mode”, and “Slippery”, the characteristics of the C43 Sedan can be customized at the tap of a finger. This modifies key parameters, such as the response of the engine, transmission, suspension, and steering. The suspension set-ups can also be selected specifically on demand.
The exterior of the C43 is highlighted by new design elements that make it stand out as the newest member of the Mercedes Benz family. New distinguishing features include the AMG radiator grille in matte iridium silver and the sculpted front bumper.

The rear has two round twin tailpipe trim elements in high-gloss chrome, while the rear bumper with side air curtain and diffuser improve air flow characteristics. The spoiler lip on the trunk lid is painted in the vehicle color, and is a nice touch. When viewed from the side, eye-catching features include the sporty side skirts plus new, aerodynamically optimized AMG light-alloy wheels.
As the most successful model series for Mercedes-AMG, the C-Class family in all its facets has made a major contribution to our corporate success. One major component in this success story was the implementation of the 43-series of models, which have thrilled our customers worldwide since the market launch in 2015. The high demand and positive feedback have encouraged us to sharpen up not only the appearance of the facelift, but also its performance, efficiency and sportiness in true AMG style.

The interior gets impressive touches of leather, microfiber, and aluminum, and an updated infotainment system paired to a 10.25-inch screen. The instrument cluster gets a full digital treatment with a 12.3-inch screen diagonal, which brings the vehicle functions directly to life with the three AMG-specific display styles of "Classic," "Sport" or "Supersport." The visualizations in the central media display enable further vehicle functions to be experienced even better, with animated presentation of the driving assistance, vehicle, and communication systems.
The 2019 Mercedes-AMG C43 Sedan will make its debut at the Geneva International Motor Show before arriving in North American dealerships by the end of the year. No indication as to when we’ll be getting this sedan locally, but we expect it to be sometime before the end of the year, as well.
