With over 19 million units sold worldwide spanning from seven of its generations, the Camry has captured many hearts, including its loyalists. Since 1983, the brand itself has managed to popularize this nameplate among its potential consumers, both locally and internationally. With that in mind, Toyota Motor Philippines starts the holiday season with the impending release of its much-anticipated flagship midsize sedan, the All-new Toyota Camry.
After several appetizers from international markets, thankfully the fully redesigned Camry will soon reach our shores. Exterior wise, the Camry boasts of fine and well planted lines which complements its sleek and modern body shape, harmonizing a bold and distinctive look that separates this model among its competitors. Exterior highlights include LED headlamps and Daytime Running Lights, 18-inch alloys and dual exhaust pipes, elements which portrays a sense of dynamic spirit.
Reinforced under the brand’s Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA), the Camry promises better agility, stability, and visibility. Sharper response and handling were achieved through its lower center of gravity combined with a new suspension setup. For that added rigidity, the ring structures around its body provides a more stable and sturdier ride than before.
In terms of visibility, Toyota has given such consideration of increasing its forward field of view. This was done by reducing the thickness of its instrument panels and lowering the hood, cowl, and beltline, giving drivers that added sense of certainty while tackling the road ahead.
Through its years of existence, the Camry has established a great reputation for roominess. Today, its latest generation continuous to deliver along with a major step up in terms of interior craftsmanship. With a roomy interior is aligned with the “Sensual-Smart Confidence” design concept, sculpted with the finest degree of craftsmanship.
It is also packed with several comfort features, such as 3-zone automatic Climate Control, with Speed Sensing power door locks and one-touch power window (all four doors). The all new Camry also boasts in terms of technology, namely for having such features like its 7-inch Multi-Information Display and a Heads-Up Display which happens to be a welcome feature for this model.
Its beating heart is a robust and fuel-efficient 2.5 L Dual VVT-i engine mated to a 6-Speed Automatic Transmission with Drive Mode Select, enabling you to shift to Sport or Eco mode. During high speeds, the Camry is also capable of assisting its pilot by activating the highly responsive upshift control and blipping downshift control. Both features enabled when engaged in S mode. What it basically does is it enables extremely fast shifting without reducing engine braking and lowering shock.
Notably, the all new Camry also delivers in terms of safety. Known to be one of the safest passenger cars in the market, given its 5-star ASEAN NCAP rating. Along with seven airbags comes an electronic parking brake. Moreover, features such as Hill Start Assist, Vehicle Stability Control, and Anti-Lock Brake System are standard across all its variants.
