The Rogue or formally known in other markets as the X-Trail happens to be part of the Nissan NEXT project, which is the company’s transformation plan of its lineup. That said, the renowned compact crossover has then undergone a heavy makeover and mechanical upgrade. Notably, it is by far the best selling model in Nissan’s American lineup, and soon it shall arrive in US showrooms later this month.
While the Philippine market still gets the pre-updated model, the American market on the other hand shall have a taste of this all-new model. Today, the Nissan Rogue or X-Trail is one of the most advanced one of the most comprehensive model redesigns in the company’s history, as complemented by the bold new exterior style and refined, family-oriented interior, and its generous list of standard safety equipment.
Given that this is an all-new model, the mechanicals was upgraded as well, in order to further heighten the overall experience in this crossover. The 2021 Nissan Rogue is run by a 2.5-liter DOHC 4-cylinder engine, producing a healthy 181 hp and 245 Nm of torque. The said mill is then paired with the brand’s Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT). Now, apart from its new platform offering premium-level driving dynamics, it also achieves that much-needed robust passenger protection.
This compact crossover benefits from several high-tech features like the new ProPILOT Assist with Navi-link, which serves as proper assistance to the driver, therefore reducing the stress of a crowded commute or a long highway drive.
The all-new Nissan Rogue is quite an innovative product from the Japanese automaker, as it combines its desirable exterior and interior with a jam-packed list of high-tech features. While the Philippines may be quite far off from its probable local debut, the wait will surely be worth it, as this model does open a heated competition towards most of its competitors, therefore giving Nissan Philippines a more potential contender in the compact crossover segment
