2022 Mazda Premium Collection

Mazda fans have been wondering when the company will release its scheduled updates for 2022. Now, the Japanese automaker has delivered sweeping updates for several of its vehicles. The Mazda2, Mazda3, Mazda CX-3, and Mazda CX-30 all receive significant upgrades. The 2022 Mazda Premium Collection has arrived for your consideration.

Mazda's well-known hatchback is first in line. The Mazda2 now features LED daytime running lights (DRLs) for an improved driving experience when the sun is out. Inside, the changes are more apparent. The cabin gets dark blue leather seats that add a touch of premium. A new heads-up display is present, aptly named Mazda Active Driving Display.

The Mazda2 also gets smartphone mirroring, wireless Apple CarPlay, and an onboard wireless charger. For safety, the hatchback now features six airbags, Smart City Brake Support, Driver Attention Alert, lane departure warning, and blind-spot monitoring. The 2022 Mazda2 packs a 1.5-liter Skyactiv-G gasoline engine. It will be available for P1,195,000.

The Mazda3 compact sedan gets a massive overhaul with a new mild-hybrid powertrain. Mazda's e-Skyactiv-G Mild Hybrid (M Hybrid) Technology is now present, bringing lower emissions and better fuel economy. The system packs a DC/DC converter, an Integrated Starter Generator (ISG), and a Regenerative Friction Brake Coordination system. It's all powered by the new 24-volt M Hybrid Lithium-Ion battery.

The mild-hybrid system brings up power figures from 152 hp to 161 hp. The torque rating is now at 213 Nm compared to 200 Nm on the previous model. Despite the power boost, the Mazda3 has kept its 2.0-liter SkyActiv-G engine. It will be available in both fastback and sedan body types. The Mazda3 M Hybrid fastback and sedan has a price of P1,695,000.

For customers who prefer a more traditional internal combustion engine, Mazda has also made two models available. The Mazda3 fastback and sedan with gasoline mills continue to make 152 hp and 200 Nm of torque. Notable upgrades include full black leather seats and a 12-speaker BOSE setup. The non-hybrid Mazda3 fastback and sedan will be available for P1,495,000.

Next up is the Mazda CX-3. The updated subcompact crossover now has two variants: Sport and Elegance. The Sport model keeps its gray-finished grill and body-colored mirror caps. Conversely, the Elegance variant features a glossy blacked-out grille and black side mirror caps. 16-inch wheels are standard, but each variant gets a unique design to match. Also standard are LED headlights and DRLs for better visibility.

The inside of the Mazda CX-3 similarly receives a much-needed upgrade. The Sport variant features black leatherette seats, while the Elegance model has white leatherette seats with tan Grand Luxe seat cushions. Matching these are white door panels that add a touch of sophistication to the hatchback.

As for the infotainment system, the vehicle packs Mazda Connect as standard. It also has wireless Apple CarPlay and a 7-speaker BOSE audio system. Other notable features include a keyless entry system, rear parking sensors, side airbags, and curtain airbags. The Mazda CX-3 has a P1,490,000 price tag for both the Sport and Elegance models.

Mazda's premium crossover, the CX-30, is the last in the line for an update. It gets the same e-Skyactiv-G M Hybrid system as the CX-3. The CX-30 also features an LED adaptive front lighting system and 18-inch wheels. Inside the cabin, we see new features that include red leather seats, a 360-degree camera, and a 12-speaker BOSE audio system.

The safety features from the i-Activsense system are still present. These include Mazda Radar Cruise Control, Smart Brake Support, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and rear-cross traffic alert. The Mazda CX-30 will be available at P1,990,000.

The 2022 Mazda Premium Collection will be available at all of the brand's dealerships starting in December 2021. A new and exclusive color called Platinum Quartz will be available for all vehicles in the collection. The new vehicles will continue to be covered by Mazda’s 5-year free service plan.
