ACMobility partners with ACEN RES to bring green energy and EV charging bundle to retail customers

Two Ayala companies are teaming up to make it easier for Philippine businesses to go electric, and they are doing it by addressing both sides of the equation at once: the energy source and the charging infrastructure.

ACMobility and ACEN RES have formalized a partnership that lets commercial and industrial customers plug into 100% renewable energy while simultaneously setting up EV charging stations on their premises. Through this partnership, if a business is already sourcing clean electricity from ACEN RES, it can now layer in EV charging hardware through ACMobility without having to stitch together separate deals with separate providers.

Companies can install chargers strictly for employees, support an in-house corporate EV fleet, or go further and open their stations to the public as Charge Point Operators. That last option gets them listed on the Evro app, ACMobility's EV charging platform, where drivers can search for nearby stations, start a session, and pay without any friction. Site hosts also get automated billing and payment reconciliation built in, which takes some of the operational headache out of running a public charging facility.

Fuel costs remain a pressure point for fleet operators, and corporate sustainability targets are pushing more organizations to look seriously at electrifying their transport. Getting clean power and charging infrastructure from a single bundled arrangement lowers the barrier to entry considerably.

ACMobility CEO Jaime Alfonso Zobel de Ayala echoed that, noting that electric mobility carries more weight when the electricity behind it is actually clean. "Together with ACEN RES, we are enabling businesses to cut emissions by integrating renewable supply with EV charging," he said.

On the energy side, ACEN RES holds a strong position in the local market. According to data from the Energy Regulatory Commission and the Philippine Electricity Market Corporation, six out of 10 businesses enrolled under the Green Energy Option Program have chosen ACEN RES as their renewable energy supplier.

ACMobility, meanwhile, has been building out physical charging infrastructure at scale. The company currently operates charging stations across more than 200 locations nationwide and is actively developing what it calls the Philippine EV Spine, a nationwide charging corridor intended to support long-distance EV travel across the country.
