Ford Philippines is expanding its vehicle lineup in the country with the launch of the all-new Ford Explorer. The mid-size crossover now comes with a new bolder look matched by powerful performance and a premium driving experience that takes comfort, convenience, and safety to the next level.

The all-new Explorer builds on its success as one of Ford’s most rugged and capable mid-size SUVs through several design and feature enhancements, making it a more formidable offering for customers seeking refinement in their SUV
Exterior
On the exterior, the Ford Explorer comes with an updated design that offers a more dominant yet elegant appearance on the road. This is seen with its new bright silver-painted mesh grille with chrome bars, silver-painted front and rear skid plate elements, satin roof-rack side rails, and dual-exhaust tips. The new crossover also features a new set of headlamps, front fog lamps, and tail lamps that all come with LEDs.
Interior
Moving to the inside, the Explorer still brings with it a stylish and premium feel as the cabin now comes with a combination of Ebony-colored trims and light slate-colored uppers. It also has an illuminated entry system and multi-color ambient lighting. The highlight of the interior of the new vehicle is its twin-panel moonroof. For its cabin features, the all-new Explorer comes with leather seats with unique accent stitching, a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with a memory function, an 8-way power-adjustable front passenger’s seat, and an E-Z entry mechanism for those who want to get into the 3rd row of the vehicle. It also comes with Tri-zone electronic automatic temperature control with rear auxiliary controls for the passengers at the back for maximum comfort and cooling.
Technology
For its technology, the all-new Ford Explorer is equipped with the brand’s SYNC3 system that is paired with an 8-inch capacitive touchscreen. The infotainment system also comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capabilities and is paired with a 12-speaker B&O sound system. The crossover also comes with smart-charging multimedia USB ports, a wireless charging pad, and a 230V power outlet for your charging needs.
Power
Under the hood, the 2022 Ford Explorer is powered by a 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine that comes with auto start-stop technology to help you maximize your fuel economy. It produces 300hp and 420 Nm of torque. It sends power to all four wheels via a 10-speed automatic transmission. Aside from its powerful motor, the Explorer also comes with an intelligent 4WD with a Terrain Management system along with seven selectable drive modes in the form of Deep sand, Eco, Normal, Sport, Tow Haul, and Slippery. All of these features and more help optimize the performance and handling of the crossover across different environments.
Safety
For safety, the all-new Ford Explorer comes with the brand’s Co-Pilot360 suite of features that gives it a 360-degree camera, Pre-Collision Assist with AutomaticEmergency Braking (AEB) with Pedestrian Detection, Forward Collision Warning and Dynamic, Brake Support, Auto High-Beam Headlamps, BLIS® (Blind Spot Information System) with Cross-Traffic Alert, Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop-and-Go and Lane Centering, Evasive Steering Assist, and Lane-Keeping System. Other advanced safety features include Post-Collision Braking, Reverse Brake Assist, Hill Descent Control™, and Hill Start Assist.
Pricing
Pricing for the all-new Explorer Limited starts at P2,998,000 and will be available nationwide starting on December 21, 2021. It will be available in eight colors, including Agate Black Metallic, Iconic Silver, Metallic Stone Gray, Oxford White, Rapid Red Metallic, Atlas Blue Metallic, Carbonized GrayMetallic, and Star White Metallic (additional PHP 15,000).
