2020 Honda Civic exterior rear emblem

The current Honda Civic has aged gracefully since its local debut in 2016. It was then given some minor updates last 2018 just to mildly freshen up its overall look. Now, the 10th-generation Honda Civic is on its 4th year life-cycle, and the brand is already on the works an all-new model that is set to be released by mid-2021.

A new era for the Honda Civic shall begin next year, as confirmed by American Honda Motor Co., Inc. No exact dates yet, although they specified that its latest compact sedan will be unveiled in Spring 2021, which spans from mid-March to mid-June.

Based on the timeline, the all-new Honda Civic could possibly be launched at the 2021 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), given that the organizers of this major international auto show moved the supposed event from January to June in 2021. Unless Honda decides to throw its own launch during an earlier date, its anticipated debut might commence by June 2021. On the side note, there’s still no surfaced details with the all-new Civic.

From then until now, the Honda Civic remains a significant model in the brand’s lineup. It has indeed grown in terms of size and personality. Without a doubt, Honda shines in terms of product packaging, and the Civic is no exemption in its lineup given the clever combination of versatility, looks, and an efficient yet powerful engine. Quite sad for an early departure as the current generation turns 5 next year. Although, an all-new generation opens new doors for betterment and limitless possibilities, and who knows? Our market might just get a hatch this time around. Then again, it’s still a long countdown, let’s hope that this one will be worth the wait.
