The exclusive distributor of Subaru vehicles in the Philippines, Motor Image Pilipinas, recently launched the all-new Levorg. This gives the station wagon segment some stiff competition.
Derived from the words legacy, revolution, and touring, the Levorg was developed with luxury, spaciousness, and spirited long distance driving in mind aimed to appeal to the “functional, family oriented, and adventurous” customer.
Based on the Impreza platform, the Levorg's front fascia features their signature hexagonal grille and sleek hawk-eye LED headlamps, a massive hood scoop, and a nice set of foglamps divided by silver trims. On the other hand, the boot has tail lights which are patterned from the same hawk-eye design upfront. It has 2 massive exhaust pipes, 1 on each side, giving it a sporty feel.
Inside, leather seats, a dual-zone automatic air conditioning system, and a 7-inch touchscreen display connected to a 6-speaker highlights the luxurious interior. The Levorg's 5 passengers would be happy to know that besides having generous legroom, it also has 522 L worth of luggage space with the seats up.
The Levorg is not all passenger focused, the driver also gets to enjoy a few nifty gizmos such as the steering wheel mounted audio controls and the Subaru Intelligent Drive (SI-Drive). The SI-Drive gives the driver a selection of driving modes: intelligent and sport. While the Sport mode enhances power and accelerations which gives a more spirited driving experience, the Intelligent mode gives a smooth and efficient acceleration.
The all-new Levorg is powered by a 1.6 L turbocharged Boxer engine capable of producing 168 hp and 250 Nm of torque. It's then mated to a lineartronic Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT).
Besides the Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, the all-new Levorg has a boat load of new safety features such as the advanced Vehicle Dynamics Control (VDC) system and Active Torque Vectoring (ATV), High Beam Assist, and Subaru Rear Vehicle Detection (SRVD). The High Beam Assist toggles between the high and low beam depending on the road conditions improving visibility.
The all-new Levorg, which is priced at P1,718,000, is the perfect car for executives who want a car that’s comfortable, practical, safe, and still satisfy the need for speed. The extra space could come in handy on business trips or vacations with friends or family.
