The Suzuki Fronx has officially launched. Stylish and efficient, it’s set to take on the subcompact crossover segment.

After making its first appearance at the 2025 Suzuki Matsuri in the Mall of Asia earlier this year, the all-new Suzuki Fronx has now been officially launched. Designed to compete in the crowded subcompact crossover segment, the Fronx promises all-around versatility—equally at home navigating the Metro’s nightmarish traffic as it is cruising comfortably on open highways.

On the outside, the Fronx carries a bold, assertive presence. Up front, a honeycomb grille is flanked by sharp LED headlights, with slim DRLs perched above, creating an aggressive split-light arrangement. The sculpted hood adds to its muscular stance, with a slight overhang neatly framing the DRLs. Along the sides, black plastic cladding accentuates the wheel wells, giving the crossover a bit of meat and muscle that extends onto the doors and rear bumper. At the back, the Fronx looks just as striking, sporting a shark-fin antenna, roof spoiler, and a full-width light bar connecting the taillights for a modern touch.

Step inside, and the cabin is just as sharp as the exterior. Suzuki calls it a “smart and modern” design, and it lives up to the name. The Fronx comfortably seats five adults, with the top-of-the-line SGX variant featuring a black-and-burgundy interior finished in a mix of synthetic leather and cloth-like materials. Burgundy accents spill onto the dash and door panels, while piano black, gloss, and brushed aluminum trims tie everything together with a premium look.

The leather-wrapped steering wheel comes packed with controls for infotainment, hands-free calls, and cruise settings. Behind it sits a crisp 4.2-inch full-color Multi-Function Information Display (MFID), presenting key vehicle data. Other interior highlights include single-zone climate control, while rear passengers benefit from dedicated air-conditioning vents and dual USB charging ports. The GL model, meanwhile, is equipped with a seven-inch WCGA Display Audio for its infotainment system, a manual climate control system, and a parking assistance camera.

Powering the Fronx is the K15C Dual-Jet 1.5-liter gasoline engine, producing 100 hp at 6,000 rpm and 135 Nm of torque at 4,400 rpm. It’s paired with a six-speed automatic transmission driving the front wheels, and gets an efficiency boost from a 12V mild-hybrid system. For the entry-level GL variant, however, this model is powered by Suzuki’s K15B engine paired with a four-speed automatic transmission without Suzuki’s mild-hybrid system and Dual Jet technology. This engine develops 103 hp at 6,000 rpm and 138 Nm of torque at 4,400 rpm.

When it comes to safety, the SGX variant leads the charge by debuting the Suzuki Safety Support suite. It integrates a front-facing camera mounted behind the rearview mirror and a radar sensor in the front bumper, while blind spot sensors sit at the rear. Among its highlights is the Dual Sensing Brake Support II (DSBS II). Operating between 5 and 180 km/h, it detects obstacles ahead and first alerts the driver, then assists braking if the driver reacts. If not, the system automatically engages the brakes. The suite also includes Lane Departure Warning, Lane Departure Prevention, Lane Keep Assist, Weaving Alert, Automatic High Beam, Blind Spot Monitoring, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and Adaptive Cruise Control.

Rounding out the safety package are standard features like three-point seatbelts for all five occupants, six SRS airbags, Hill Hold Control, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), and an anti-lock braking system (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD).

Prices for the Suzuki Fronx start at P1,059,000 for the GL variant, P1,219,000 and P1,229,000 for the GLX AT and GLX AT Two-tone variants respectively, and up to P1,299,000 for the top-of-the-line SGX.
