Astara Philippines has started working from its new corporate headquarters as part of its plan to strengthen its presence in the local automotive market. Country Manager Luis Torres shared that the company recently named three new leaders to key roles. Ryan Bermudez now leads GAC Motor in the Philippines. Ralph Descallar is adding technical, warranty, service, and sales training programs to his responsibilities. Dong Magsajo has taken charge of media and public relations, overseeing marketing and communications for all Astara brands in the country.
Torres said the company is preparing to bring more vehicles to the Philippines, including new energy models such as hybrids, plug-in hybrids, and fully electric cars. He explained that Astara wants to offer more modern mobility choices and will be connecting with local buyers in new ways in the coming months.
“Connection and sustainability are at the center of everything we do. While over the past few years we have introduced several fantastic products from our global partners, the goal is to keep pushing the envelope and to create sustainable mobility solutions through innovation. And this innovation, necessarily, will apply to the products and services that we offer. Over the next several months, we will be engaging our customers on a more personal level, and we will be launching new energy vehicles from our automotive brands. They will be products that are in line with our long-term strategy aimed at fortifying our position as a key player in the local automotive scene. These are exciting times for us and for our valued clients. We look forward to sharing these announcements in the near future.”
Astara has already introduced several global models to the market and aims to continue expanding its lineup. The new headquarters is expected to support its growing team as it works on future launches.
While exact models and release dates were not shared, Torres confirmed that announcements about new vehicles and electric options will follow soon. Filipino car buyers can look forward to more choices as Astara works to strengthen its position in the automotive market.
