As the brand bids farewell to the legendary R8 V10 Quattro, Audi of America then announces the limited edition R8 V10 Quattro that’s set to be available in either a coupe or spyder modification. The following color options include Avus Silver, Sonoma Green, and Mugello Blue which is the only color available for the spyder.
The model will be limited to 30 units only, as it will showcase technologies and features previously reserved for the performance model, and add unique interior and exterior design elements. Also, this trim will exclusively come with a set of 20-inch milled wheels in silver, carbon exterior lower trim, and alu-optic mirror caps.
The sporty appointments continue throughout the cabin. It’s treated with a number of carbon fiber materials reinforced on both the virtual cockpit and the air vents. There’s also a three-spoke multifunction flat-bottom steering wheel with paddle shifters and four steering wheel-mounted satellite buttons. As for the coupe model, it gets a unique touch of a diamond-stitched Alcantara headliner. Notably, interior trims may vary depending on the exterior color you choose.
It will also feature the same mechanicals, such as the naturally aspirated V10 engine found in the R8 LMS race car. The said motor is able to produce 562 hp and 550 Nm of torque and is paired with a 7-speed S tronic dual-clutch transmission. Power is sent on all four wheels. This combination allows both models to achieve the top track speed of 323 kph for the Coupe, and 322 kph for the Spyder.
Without a doubt, the R8 model line has represented the pinnacle of Audi performance since its introduction in 2008, and this includes the R8 V10 Quattro. The limited-edition R8 V10 Quattro is set to go on sale in the US by summer. On the other hand, the R8 V10 performance Quattro model will continue on for the 2021 model year.
