BAIC continues to build its portfolio of rugged SUVs with the latest offering being the range-extended B40e rEV Trailmaster, combining electric power and adventure-ready toughness.
What sets the B40e rEV Trailmaster apart from its stablemates is that it's powered by BAIC’s Advanced Range-Extended Electric Vehicle system. BAIC’s plug-in-hybrid system delivers over 1,200 km of total driving range and can run the SUV on pure electric mode for up to 152 km based on the CLTC cycle. What’s more, it features a vehicle-to-load (V2L) system, allowing the B40e to power tools or outdoor camping equipment using two 220V outlets with up to 2.2kW output. Furthermore, much like its other stablemates in the B40 line, the rEV version has a body-on-frame construction and full-time all-wheel drive, ensuring that it’s tough enough to handle any situation, on or off the road.
As much as the B40e rEV Trailmaster can handle the rough and tumble of the outdoors, the inside features all the comforts one can ask for in a modern SUV. Front and center is a 12.8-inch center control display that provides access to vehicle information and multimedia, while a 12.8-inch passenger screen provides entertainment for everyone in the cabin. The 12-speaker Infinity sound system with DSP delivers crisp and rich sound throughout the cabin. Other features to note include an in-car air intelligence system that helps maintain a cleaner cabin environment, which BAIC says is helpful during extended road trips. The SUV also comes with a full suite of advanced driver assistance systems, along with a complete set of airbags for the entire cabin.
The BAIC B40e rEV Trailmaster comes dressed in five exterior finishes that match its adventurous personality — Jet Black, Snowy White, Jungle Green, Mineral Yellow, and Future Gray. Inside, buyers can choose between two interior combinations: Black with Gray and Orange accents, or Green with Gray, striking a balance between ruggedness and contemporary style.
BAIC Philippines backs the B40e rEV Trailmaster with a strong ownership package. The plug-in hybrid off-roader is covered by a five-year or 150,000 km bumper-to-bumper warranty alongside an equally robust five-year or 150,000 km high voltage battery warranty. Owners also benefit from 3 years of roadside assistance for added peace of mind on and off the trail. As for the price, the BAIC B40e rEV Trailmaster starts at P2,888,000.
