Electric and hybrid vehicles may not require the same type of maintenance as those powered by internal combustion engines, but they still need regular care to ensure optimal performance. One company is stepping up to provide Filipino EV and hybrid owners with the specialized care their vehicles need.
Bosch Car Service (BCS) Philippines, under ACMobility, has officially established itself as the nation’s first independent aftermarket (IAM) workshop certified to service electric and hybrid vehicles (EV/HEV). This was formally announced during a signing ceremony held on November 7, 2025, marking a major milestone in supporting the country’s transition to electrified mobility and reinforcing Bosch Car Service’s position as the nation’s premier independent EV service network.
The certification allows Bosch Car Service to offer a full range of after-sales services, from basic preventive maintenance to high-voltage (HV) battery diagnostics and repair. The initiative aims to address the growing need for accessible and standardized EV servicing options in the local market, benefiting both vehicle owners and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).
“As the country continues to embrace electric and hybrid vehicles, dependable servicing becomes a non-negotiable part of the journey. Through this joint development, ACMobility and Bosch Car Service are expanding access to expert EV care that supports the growing mobility needs of Filipinos.”
As the first IAM workshop in the Philippines certified to perform advanced maintenance on electric and hybrid vehicles, BCS Philippines is expected to play a significant role in strengthening the nation’s EV after-sales infrastructure. The company’s efforts focus on expanding consumer access to qualified service centers, promoting higher technical standards across the aftermarket sector, and collaborating with automotive manufacturers to enhance nationwide after-sales support for EVs and hybrids.
Paulo Duarte, Managing Director of Bosch Philippines, emphasized the importance of preparing the local service industry for the shift toward electric mobility. “Electric mobility brings new expectations for service, safety, and technical capability,” he said. “We are committed to ensuring our workshops and technicians are trained to meet those standards.”
BCS Philippines currently provides a comprehensive range of services for both electric and hybrid vehicles, including preventive maintenance, diagnostics, air-conditioning servicing, high-voltage battery assessment and repair, software updates, and warranty servicing for OEM partners.
To maintain safety and service quality, Bosch Car Service technicians undergo certification and specialized training in high-voltage safety and EV/HEV systems at Bosch’s dedicated facilities. This continuous upskilling process aligns with the company’s global standards for technical excellence.
Bosch stated that the initiative supports its global philosophy, “Invented for Life,” which underscores its commitment to advancing safe, reliable, and sustainable mobility solutions.
