Enthusiasts that happen to be gamers will be familiar with the Gran Turismo series available on the Play Station platform. Renown the world over for its stellar graphics and gameplay, the game aims to bring true-to-life racing to your living room. Manufacturers and enthusiasts alike know the value of a good braking system and the trust and heritage that the Brembo brand commands, leading many brands like Honda, Nissan, and other marques to install a system onto their more performance-oriented models.
Even brands like Toyota in the Philippines have also recognized the game’s potential as a platform for developing and honing local racing talent. The GR GT Cup makes use of Gran Turismo as a platform for its racers to use and find out who is the fastest.
Polyphony Digital Inc., the developer behind the legendary series of games, has announced that it will be partnering with Brembo SpA in order to bring meaningful content to the videogame in the form of official Brembo upgrade products which can be bought by players in the tuning shop of the game with in-game credits.
Just like in real life, where you can purchase a set of Brembo performance discs and pads, you can do the same in-game. From the basic packages that the Italian company provides to the highest-end of the spectrum with Carbon Ceramic discs, and GT|BM calipers, and can be finished in up to 8 different colors, red included.
“For Brembo, this partnership represents an extraordinary opportunity to reach out to the younger generations, which is in line with our vision Turning Energy into Inspiration. From the asphalt of the track, the performance and design of our systems have now become part of the virtual world of Gran Turismo™ 7. Our ambition is to further enhance the gaming experience, just as the driving experience does in reality."
The Brembo brand will also have a special showcase on the game which can be viewed in the game’s Brand Central Museum. Sixty years-worth of history will be published on Gran Turismo 7 along with multiple banners and sponsor flags on the race tracks.
