BYD Cars Philippines is gearing up for a busy end of July, with the brand confirming that two new models will officially join its New Energy Vehicle lineup later this month. BYD has officially opened reservation books for the all-new BYD Atto 2 and the refreshed BYD Seal 5 DM-i, giving buyers a head start before both cars make their formal debut on July 28.
Filipino car shoppers already got a glimpse of the Atto 2 back in April, when it was first shown off at the Manila International Auto Show. Now the compact crossover is inching closer to showroom floors, and BYD is rolling it out with three variant options: the Atto 2 EV Premium, the Atto 2 DM-i Premium, and the Atto 2 DM-i Dynamic. That spread of powertrain choices, fully electric on one end and hybrid options on the other, means buyers aren't boxed into a single setup and can pick whichever suits their daily driving needs. BYD is positioning the model as an entry point into electrified motoring, aimed at practical, value-driven, and aspirational drivers.
Alongside the Atto 2, BYD is also updating a model with some new touches. The Seal 5 DM-i returns with updated styling and a handful of feature upgrades, building on what the outgoing model already established in the market. Buyers will be able to choose between Dynamic and Essential trims once it lands. Under the hood, the Seal 5 DM-i continues to use BYD's DM-i hybrid system, which the brand says takes the worry out of range anxiety while still delivering efficient day-to-day performance. It's a setup BYD is pitching toward first-time car buyers, growing families, and fleet operators looking for a dependable, low-fuss ride.
As for pricing, BYD is keeping that under wraps for now. Official numbers and promos for both models will only be revealed at the launch event on July 28, set to take place at the Trinoma Activity Center in Quezon City. In the meantime, anyone interested in locking in a reservation for either the Atto 2 or the Seal 5 can already do so by dropping by their nearest BYD dealership.
