Drive Electric. Love Pinas

The country’s push toward electrified mobility has hit a new milestone as ACMobility, BYD Cars Philippines, and the Department of Tourism officially signed the “Drive Electric. Love Pinas.” campaign at BYD Manila Bay.

The partnership sets the beginning for a nationwide electric drive from north to south, showcasing how fully electric vehicles can power long-distance travel across the archipelago. Supporting the journey is ACMobility’s growing end-to-end charging network, designed to make cross-country EV travel seamless and worry-free.

“This partnership between ACMobility, BYD, and the Department of Tourism is a defining moment for sustainable travel in our country. Together, we are leading the charge to reshape the way Filipinos travel and experience the Philippines. By breaking the old mold of mobility, we are able to fuel tourism with zero emissions.”

At the heart of the program is ACMobility’s Philippine EV Spine, a nationwide charging network built to connect key destinations from Pagudpud to General Santos City. By integrating charging hubs with DOT Tourist Rest Areas, the campaign highlights popular travel stops while supporting local economies through accessible and sustainable mobility.

“The ‘Drive Electric. Love Pinas.’ campaign is a transformative step in our mission to champion a tourism industry that is substantive, purposeful, and deeply rooted in stewardship. The initiative aligns tourism development with national policy directions on sustainability and clean energy, ensuring that as we move toward recovery and transformation, we do so with a clear commitment to environmental responsibility,” shares Christina Garcia Frasco, Secretary of the Department of Tourism.

The campaign is set to officially roll out in the first quarter of 2026 and will be led by Filipino-American travel vlogger Wil Dasovich as Lead Navigator. Dasovich will embark on a cross-country road trip to rediscover local culture, landmarks, and destinations, all while promoting storytelling-driven travel under the Department of Tourism’s “Love the Philippines” message, powered by electric mobility.

For BYD, the initiative goes beyond showcasing its EV lineup. It’s about proving that with the right vehicles and infrastructure in place, long-distance travel in the Philippines can be both exciting and emission-free.
