BYD has booked March for the Denza N9 launch! The carmaker has announced that the Denza N9 SUV will officially launch in March 2024, with pre-sales starting in February. Test drives are expected to begin by mid-February, and the SUV will be available in dealerships the following week. The first version to be released will be a plug-in hybrid, followed by a fully electric version. With BYD’s growing presence in Southeast Asia, we are wondering if the Denza N9 will soon arrive in the Philippines.
The Denza N9 is a full-size SUV, measuring 5,258 mm long, 2,030 mm wide, and 1,830 mm high, with a wheelbase of 3,125 mm. Built on BYD’s e3 platform, it comes with features like tank turning, crab walking, and rear-wheel steering. The plug-in hybrid version will have a pure electric range of over 200 km, which is an improvement from the originally stated 165 km.The PHEV model combines a 152 kW engine with three electric motors producing 200 kW, 240 kW, and 240 kW, giving it a total output of 680 kW (about 911 hp). Inside, the Denza N9 features three large screens, a heads-up display (HUD), a four-spoke multi-function steering wheel, and a retractable sound system. It also comes with dual wireless charging panels and an electronic gear shifter.

Additional features include a ceiling-mounted display, a built-in refrigerator, dual independent second-row seats, and a panoramic sunroof. BYD has also introduced a drone version of the Denza N9, which received approval from China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) in December 2023. The Denza N9 has already been spotted in London, UK, undergoing testing without camouflage. BYD has been in talks to bring the Denza brand to Europe, and the N9 could be one of the first models sold outside of China. With BYD’s growing footprint in the Philippines, there’s a chance this model could make its way to local dealerships in the near future.

On February 2, Denza General Manager Zhao Changjiang confirmed in a social media video that the N9 will launch in March, with pre-sales starting in February. The SUV has already been seen in dealerships across China, but the question remains—will it soon be available in the Philippines? In the meantime, check out BYD's lineup at AutoDeal.com.ph.
