Solar Transport and Automotive Resources Corp., the exclusive distributor of BYD vehicles in the Philippines, has launched the all-new S7 SUV and the facelifted F0 hatchback. The said launch coincided with the company’s 3rd year anniversary celebration.
BYD S7 SUV
Starting with the all-new S7, BYD said that it’s an SUV that offers “high level performance and superb luxury.” Overall, the S7 has a bold and composed exterior design. Up front, it is fitted with sweptback headlights, a wide grille with chrome accent, and a large bumper.
Turning at the side, BYD’s SUV is characterized by straight character lines, prominent wheel arches, and roof rails. It also has an electronic folding side view mirrors with camera and welcome light.
The rear of the all-new S7 comes with a spoiler, dual exhaust pipes, wraparound taillights, and an aggressive bumper. It is finished off with 18-inch aluminum alloy wheels.
Inside, the vehicle features a two-tone interior theme. It is also equipped with leather upholstery and an eight-way power adjustment driver’s seat. Placed in the middle of the dashboard is a 4.3-inch TFT LCD infotainment system. In addition, the all-new S7 has dual zone automatic air conditioner, an illuminated gear lever, and a panoramic sunroof.
Safety-wise, the S7 is equipped with Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Electrical Park Brake (EPB), immobilizer, Brake Override System (BOS), six airbags, among others.
Powering the all-new S7 is a 2.0L diesel engine that delivers 151 hp and 320 Nm of torque. It is then mated to a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
BYD F0
The BYD F0 features a refreshed fascia that intends to target the young and stylish individuals. It is fitted with a restyled grille, LED daytime running lights, a new bumper, redesigned air intakes and fog light housing. Of note, the facelifted F0 comes with a push button trunk door.
The interior of the F0 has a dark-grey interior theme along with a three-spoke steering wheel, round aircon vents, and white-on-black instrument cluster. It also has remote central locking, hydraulic power steering system, and power electric windows.
The facelifted F0 is powered by a 1.0L engine that generates 67 hp and 90 Nm of torque. It is mated to either a 5-speed manual or automatic transmission.
