Banco De Oro (BDO), one of the Philippines’ leading banks, and Waze, the global navigation app, announced its newest brand ambassador and the latest addition to the app’s voice options – Miss Universe 2018 winner Catriona Gray.
Catriona is also the first-ever Filipino voice celebrity to be featured on Waze. This new achievement is another milestone for the international pageant winner.
Catriona’s voice is now available on the app to help motorists on the road to find their way to their destination. She even has custom voice lines in the app such as “Time to park the car and do the lava walk” and “ In my experiences, U-turns are best made slowly.” Waze states that her custom voice lines will bring more enjoyment to your daily commute or to your next destination.
I am truly honored to be the first Filipino Waze celebrity voice. It has always been my passion to voice out my advocacies and spread positivity. Being the newest voice on Waze enables me to share positivity to Filipinos who are on the road - going to school, work or wherever they need to be. I want to keep them inspired and help them find their way so that we can all be happy and remain optimistic, despite many challenges such as the traffic.
BDO states that having Catriona as Waze’s newest voice makes the banking company proud. Catriona has chosen them to be her banking partner. The banking company further states that it is exciting to find ways for her to achieve the life she wants.
Waze, on the other hand, states that it has always been dedicated to giving its users the best driving experience possible. People can now make their drives even more enjoyable thanks to the voice of Catriona Gray. Waze hopes that her voice will inspire drivers while they are on the road.
