The Changan brand is set to expand its presence across the country through a strategic collaboration between Inchcape Philippines, the official distributor of Changan Auto, and Global Star Motors Corporation (GSMC). This partnership aims to establish additional dealerships, with GSMC planning to open six Changan showrooms in Cebu, Davao, Dumaguete, Tacloban, Tagbilaran, and Cagayan de Oro, catering to Changan owners in these regions.
Carrying a remarkable 160-year legacy in the automotive industry, Changan stands out as one of China's leading and most successful car manufacturers, renowned for the exceptional quality of its products. Acknowledged by the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA), Changan has earned the prestigious designation as one of the top five best-selling brands in China.
“Global Star Motors Corporation has been a trusted dealer in Cebu and the rest of Visayas. We trust that they will be as Driven to Challenge and deliver service excellence to Changan owners in those regions. I am excited for our partnership to deliver excellent customer experiences.”
Speaking on the partnerships between Inchcape and GSMC, Edward Vincent Onglatco, the President of GSMC stated, “We see a lot of potential in the Changan brand and we are confident that, with the partnership with Inchcape, we are able to bring quality vehicles and services to the Visayas and Mindanao regions. It has been our mission to deliver unparalleled excellence in elevating the car ownership experience. We are more than pleased to partner with Inchcape in fulfilling this mission.”
