Since its launch back in April 2024, the Changan CS15 has cemented itself as one of the Chinese automaker’s best-selling models, all thanks to its combination of modern features and affordable price, making for a compelling crossover with exceptional value for money.
Changan is starting 2026 off with a mid-cycle update to the CS15 providing upgrades that can be felt inside and out. On the outside, the CS15 retains its clean, modern, and confident design. As before, the CS15 still comes equipped with features such as automatic halogen headlights with LED daytime running lights, a moonroof, satin silver roof rails, and rear fog lights.
Where Changan has given the CS15 some attention is at the front fascia, where the previous chrome slat grille has been replaced with a new multi-dimensional rhombic grille design. The wheels have also been updated, swapping the earlier two-tone alloys for 17-inch gunmetal alloy wheels, giving the crossover a sportier appearance.
Inside, the CS15 continues with a straightforward and functional layout that prioritizes space and usability. The cabin uses soft-touch materials, complemented by a multifunction leather steering wheel. Standard features include a six-way adjustable driver’s seat, a seven-inch digital instrument cluster, a four-speaker audio system, air conditioning with a pollen filter, parking sensors with a rearview camera, and cruise control.
As for the changes in the equipment, the infotainment system has been upgraded to a larger 10-inch touchscreen with Bluetooth connectivity, along with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. USB connectivity has also been improved, with two ports up front (Type-A and Type-C) and an additional Type-C port for rear passengers, compared to the single front USB port on the previous version. A rear air-conditioning vent has also been added, improving comfort for those seated at the back.
Powering the CS15 is a 1.5-liter BlueCore gasoline engine paired with a five-speed wet-type dual-clutch transmission. This setup produces 105 horsepower and 145 Nm of torque delivering power exclusively to the front wheels.
Moving to the CS15’s safety features, Changan’s subcompact crossover comes with the following kit. Features include front and side airbags for the driver and front passenger, anti-lock brakes with electronic brakeforce distribution, electronic stability control, brake assist, hill hold control, front ventilated disc brakes, rear disc brakes, a tire pressure monitoring system, ISOFIX anchors, rear child safety locks, central door locking, and a driver seatbelt reminder.
The CS15 is offered in four color options: Glitter Galaxy Silver Gray, Red, Shiny Pearl Black, and Snowy White. Priced at P850,000, the refreshed CS15 gives buyers more while retaining its accessible price point.
