Founded in November 2020, Changan Motor Philippines, Inc. (CMPI) is the official distributor of Changan vehicles here in the Philippines. Their lineup of vehicles has resonated very well with the Filipino community, garnering a lot of sales thanks to their tech-laden packaging, stylish design, and competitive pricing. Their strong presence and good management have finally earned them the recognition they deserve.
CMPI has been recognized by Changan International Corporation (CIC) with the "Excellence of Service" award. CMPI's President and CEO, Maria Fe Perez-Agudo, accepted the award along with other distributors from Kuwait, Pakistan, and Peru at the 2023 Changan Automobile Overseas Partner Conference held in China.
The award shows that CMPI is committed to enhancing the ownership experience and meeting the needs of today's motorists. CMPI's phenomenal 221 percent growth in sales in the first quarter of 2023 is driven by the popular CS35 Plus crossover and Alsvin subcompact sedan. The company is proud of its growing roster of excellently built, powerful, and tech-loaded vehicles that are designed to satisfy customer preferences and the demands of the modern world. CIC's recognition of CMPI means that it is ready to further the Changan global overseas expansion strategy, as announced at the 2023 Shanghai International Automotive Industry Exhibition.
“Changan Auto officially pressed the ‘fast-forward button’ for a more hard-hitting global expansion and we at CMPI are energetically pressing forward to make it a reality this side of the world through our excellent products backed by our well-thought-out Vital 5 after-sales program,”
CMPI is looking to continue its progress in the coming years with the introduction of its two new crossovers geared towards the more premium market and sports Changan’s “Vision-V” design philosophy, namely, the Uni line of vehicles which are the Uni-T and Uni-K which were publicly unveiled at the 2023 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS).
Along with that, CMPI already has 18 dealerships locally, with plans to expand more in the future. They also recognized its interactive community with more than 40 Changan car clubs, which helped contribute to their growth locally.
