Running out of battery on the road is a common worry for hybrid and EV drivers. The new Changan Nevo A05 wants to change that with 130 km of electric driving and 1,250 km total range when fully fueled and charged.
Changan Philippines has officially added the Nevo A05 Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle to its local lineup. The model was first previewed at the Manila International Auto Show in April 2025 and now joins Changan’s growing range of electrified vehicles in the country. The Nevo A05 runs on a 1.5L BlueCore gasoline engine paired with a dedicated hybrid transmission, producing 212 hp and 330 Nm of torque. It supports several driving modes such as full electric (BEV), plug-in hybrid (PHEV), and range-extended (REEV). Drivers can also choose from Eco, Normal, Sport, and Custom drive settings. Thanks to its 18.4 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, the sedan can travel up to 130 km on pure electric power and reach 1,250 km total range when using both gasoline and electric power.
On the outside, the Nevo A05 has a clean but sporty look with sharp lines and practical features. It comes with automatic LED headlights and taillights, LED daytime running lights, a high-mounted LED third brake light, adjustable headlight height, 17-inch alloy wheels, and a Follow-Me-Home function that keeps the headlights on for a short time after parking.
Inside, the cabin offers a simple but comfortable feel with quality materials and modern features. It includes keyless entry, push-button start, a 10-inch full-color LCD display, automatic air conditioning with a temperature display, a PM 2.5 air filter, a multifunction steering wheel, USB ports, and a 12V power outlet. Passengers can enjoy a 13.2-inch touchscreen display with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, and a six-speaker audio system. Rear air vents add comfort for passengers, while the flat-fold rear seats help load larger items when needed. Other convenient features include electric-adjust and auto-fold heated side mirrors with turn signals, sun visors with vanity mirrors, front reading lights, a rear window defogger, a six-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, and a four-way manual passenger seat. A moonroof adds to the open, airy feel of the cabin.
For safety, the Nevo A05 is equipped with anti-lock braking with electronic brakeforce distribution, electronic stability control, traction control, brake assist, hill hold control, an electronic parking brake with auto hold, rear parking sensors, speed-sensing door locks, collision auto unlock, multiple airbags including side and curtain airbags, ISOFIX mounts for child seats, and tire pressure monitoring. It also comes with advanced driver-assist features such as a 540-degree camera with 360-degree recording, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, lane change assist, forward collision warning, traffic jam assist, and autonomous emergency braking.
Selling for P 1,195,000, the Changan Nevo A05 comes with a P55,000 cash discount until October 2025. Color choices include White, Cloud Mountain Green, Andes Gray, and Titanium Light Silver Gray. Changan shares that the A05 launch is part of its plan to bring more electrified cars to Filipino buyers. With a long 160-year industrial history and 65 years in auto development, the brand continues to offer sustainable driving tech in the country. For full details and models, visit AutoDeal.com.ph.
