Chery Auto Philippines joins the first-ever Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) Wired, and the brand is giving a sneak peek of its latest crossover, the Tiggo 7 Pro. This all-new model showcases updated styling and a suite of high-tech features.
Its new design is quite a departure from its predecessor. Inside and out is entirely a new chapter for the compact crossover. The exterior was crafted by Kevin Rice, Chery’s Vice President and Global Chief of Car Design. Its renowned designer already made notable projects with some other car brands.

Stepping inside, the Chery Chery Tiggo 7 Pro now has a more upscale interior which is somewhat reminiscent of its Tiggo 8 sibling. There a touch better build quality, plus, it gets a generous amount of features including a 10.25-inch touchscreen that now comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, sound is then emitted via a 6-speaker sound system. Notably, one quirky feature is found on its key, apart from being able to start the vehicle, the key is also able to turn on the air conditioning system as well as open its power-operated tailgate.
Other convenience features include an electronic parking brake, a tire pressure monitoring system, a fully digital instrument cluster, and a 360-degree camera. As for its engine, the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro is run by a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine, producing a healthy 143 hp and 230 Nm of torque. The said mill is then paired with a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT).
Safety and security on the Tiggo 7 Pro have also been upgraded with a suite of driver-assist features Brake Override System and an Emergency Signal System. Apart from that, it also gets the basics, including ABS, EBD, ESP, EBA, TCS, HAC, HDC, and ISOFIX.
We’re going to have to wait for its official pricing which should be disclosed once the Tiggo 7 Pro is formally unveiled next year.
