Chery Auto Philippines maintains the old prices of their Tiggo crossover range. This came after the brand’s announcement of increasing the respective SRPs of its Tiggo models due to the safeguard tariff, although buyers can still enjoy its pre-increased rates throughout the whole month of March.
We previously announced price increases in compliance with the Department of Trade and Industry's Department Administrative Order (DAO) imposing a provisional safeguard tariff on certain imported cars and light commercial vehicles, but we have decided to absorb the tariff instead of passing it on to the consumer with higher prices.
If there’s a best time to buy your preferred Chery vehicle, it’s now! Enjoy the pre-increased prices of its crossover which comprises the Tiggo 2, Tiggo 5X, Tiggo 7, Tiggo 7 Pro, and the Tiggo 8. Again, the following prices are only applicable throughout the whole month of March, right after that, the supposed increase on each model will then be applied in April.
The Chinese automaker stays true to its commitment of delivering safe, secure, and value-packed mobility to the public, along with helping the country achieve its economic goals in these trying times. Likewise, all Chery vehicles come standard with a range of aftersales programs that should heighten the overall ownership experience. The following include a 10-year/1-million km engine warranty, a 5-year general warranty, and a FREE full preventive maintenance service (PMS) for 3 years.
Aside from Chery, other automotive brand’s present in the local market are also affected by the imposed provisional safeguard by the DTI. Under the Safeguard Measures Act, the government can impose safeguard measures in the form of tariffs to provide relief to the local industry when there is serious threat or injury from increased imports of like products. With that said, before the Chinese automaker proceeds with the increased prices of its models, now is the best time for you to own your desired Chery vehicle. Remember, this is only until the end of March, so better hurry it up!
