Chevrolet High Country Colorado Storm

If you can still remember, a new storm has entered the country last month. Well, it’s not something that bothered us, as it is a phenomenon that we have been waiting for to land on our shores, the Chevrolet Colorado High Country Storm. However, can it barrel its way up against its competitors like Toyota Hilux Conquest and Ford Ranger Raptor?

The Colorado High Country Storm was purposely made for those who are seeking for the unique combination of 4x4 off-road capabilities and the comfort of an SUV, matched with a pack of top-notch safety features, which is basically what we all need.

Living up to its name ‘Storm’, its new exterior styling screams powerful and aggressive. What makes it stand out among the rest of its family members is the black accents on its body including the hood, side mirrors, and door handles. The rear sports bar, rear bumper, and tailgate are all covered in black. There's also body decals, which adds to its aesthetic appeal.

Being the top-of-the line variant, the Colorado High Country Storm is priced at P1,638,888. Aside from its edgy exterior, there’s a great set of goodies inside the cabin such as its eight-inch multifunction head unit with the brand’s latest MyLink infotainment system, Apple CarPlay, and remote engine start function. Nothing has changed on its powertrain as it is still run by the usual 2.8L Duramax turbodiesel engine that can deliver up to 200 hp and 500 Nm of torque.

To let Filipinos experience what this Storm has to offer, Chevrolet Philippines has successfully conducted a two-day test drive challenge event recently in Santa Rosa, Laguna. The exciting part here was that the participants got a chance to get to know more about the upgraded pickup’s bits and pieces as they put their hands behind the wheel of the Storm and test its capabilities in an off-road driving course designed by the company.

As of now, there’s no announcement yet regarding the next leg of the event, you can count on us to keep you on the loop and let’s all cross our fingers for a Manila leg soon.
