Chevrolet Philippines just dropped a bomb. Earlier this week, we reported on the imminent arrival of the 2022 Corvette C8. The new sports coupe is now officially available in the country, and it's the Stingray 3LT version, no less.
The Covenant Car Company Inc (TCCCI), the exclusive distributor of Chevrolet vehicles in the Philippines, has brought over the highest-spec Corvette C8 to our market. The Stingray 3LT model packs a naturally aspirated 6.2-liter V8 engine that delivers up to 474 hp and 613 Nm with the available performance exhaust.
For a smooth shifting experience, Chevy equipped the Corvette C8 with a Tremec TR-9080 8-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT). In the right hands, this model can go from 0-100 km/h in a blistering 3.55 seconds.
With all the talk of its power, we can't forget that the Corvette C8 isn't just a fast sports coupe—it's also a tech-heavy beast. Features like the 12-inch instrument cluster display and the 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system ensure this is the most advanced Corvette in production.
Chevrolet's Infotainment 3 Plus system takes center stage with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. There's also a 14-speaker Bose audio system for more enjoyable drives. On top of that, the Corvette C8 has a wireless smartphone charger, a heated steering wheel, and driver/passenger seat memory functions.
Other notable features of the 3LT model include a performance data recorder package and a camera-based rear-view mirror. For the first time, this Corvette can receive over-the-air updates to improve the software or resolve issues. Whether this feature is available for the local-spec model remains to be seen, however.
The 2022 Chevrolet Corvette C8 Stingray 3LT is now available in the Philippines for an eye-watering P9,915,888. A Z51 Performance Package will also be available, but pricing information is not yet known. Interested buyers can head to their local dealerships now to check out the new sports coupe.
