The Covenant Car Company, Inc. (TCCCI), exclusive importer and distributor of Chevrolet cars and parts the country, held its annual Chevrolet National Skillsfest last March 2, 2019. Dubbed ‘Gear Up!’, the Don Bosco Technical Institute of Makati hosted the event consisting of 34 participants from the 27 Chevy dealerships nationwide.
The Skillsfest is a manifestation and representation of the American car manufacturer’s commitment to deliver the best ownership and service experience to its customers. Through Chevrolet Complete Care, the brand’s comprehensive owner benefit program, the brand seeks to give its customers the best experience to ensure worry-free ownership.
Thirty four participants, whose job descriptions ranged from sales consultants, group retail managers, service advisors, service technicians, and parts consultants, went through a three part assessment to test their knowledge, skills and technical abilities in Chevrolet’s products and services.
In the expertise of sales, the participants underwent a six-point walk around station. This also tested their ability to adapt to real life scenarios through the use of the simulations held during the event. A product and sales demonstration was also part of the sim. The entire process of sale was covered and even included vehicle delivery to the customer to cap off the exercise. Vehicles used by Chevy in this leg of the event were the Trailblazer, Colorado High Country Storm, and Spark.
In the area of aftersales skills, multiple stations put the participant’s knowledge to the test. Various skills such as inspecting engine system, inspecting chassis system components, diagnostic abilities, and correct usage of tools were all part of the event. A role-playing element was also included to test the participant’s ability in consulting, customer reception, and familiarity with multi-point inspection.
This event, again, highlights the brand’s commitment to the quality sales and aftersales service that it has on offer to its potential and existing clients. The American manufacturer has also stated that the top participants of this event will be announced in the upcoming Chevrolet Grandmasters in May.
