Chevrolet proves the durability of the new Captiva with 100K-km endurance test

Chevrolet’s road testing team took this seven-seater MPV to its limits. During a rigorous 100,000-kilometer endurance trial, completed in just 85 days, the Captiva showcased outstanding engineering reliability, cementing its reputation as one of the toughest, most durable MPVs on the road today.

The Captiva covered an intense daily average of 1,176 kilometers with its engine running continuously—and maintained exceptional performance throughout. No major components needed replacement, which is a great indicator of reliability. Chevrolet adds that the after-sales support team played a crucial role in maintaining the vehicle’s smooth performance throughout the test. The Chevrolet Captiva is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with 147 hp and 255 Nm of torque on tap. Power is sent to the front wheels via a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT). In terms of tech, passengers are treated to a 10.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity. Standard features include passive entry, push-start ignition, and cruise control, while the top-tier Premier variant adds premium touches like a panoramic sunroof, electronic handbrake, and automatic climate control.
