Chevron Philippines, Inc. (CPI), the local marketer of Caltex fuel and lubricants, went home with another accolade for its Caltex Fuel Your School (FYS) program.
The International Association of Business Communications Philippine chapter gave the Merit Award in Communications Management Division to CPI and American Chamber Foundation at the Philippine Quill Awards formal ceremony.
This is after winning the grand prize in education category at the 5th Amcham CSR Excellence Award, and the Silver Award in Anvil for 2015.
Caltex FYS is Chevron’s fuel-to-donate program that helps public schools to promote learning Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) subjects. Its first stint last year aided 103,000 students and the wish of 600 educators for STEM learning materials and equipment. They are from the most disadvantaged senior-ready public high schools in Metro Manila.
The effort also generated 6.1 million digital impressions in its 1-month campaign. The Caltex Facebook account also got an additional 18,198 page likes with the Caltex FYS project raking additional 36,149 likes.
Inspired by the results, CPI will push through its 2nd Caltex FYS this year 2016. This time, Davao City’s senior high schools will reap benefit from it, especially the Philippines’ first Grade 11 public school students.
Now, there’s more reason for you to gas up at Caltex.
Caltex FYS is in line with CPI’s Energy for learning initiative that supports educational programs to help disadvantaged individuals gain knowledge and acquire new skills.
