The holidays are coming, and so is Mitsubishi’s latest SUV! The all-new Mitsubishi Destinator will officially launch in the Philippines on November 20, 2025. Ahead of its launch, Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) is giving customers a chance to check it out in person. The SUV will be on display at Ayala Malls Manila Bay, with test drives happening at the Aseana Concert Grounds in Pasay City from November 20 to 23.
This new model first made its global debut in Indonesia back in July, and now it’s finally making its way to local roads. While it shares some features with the Mitsubishi XForce, the Destinator is a different SUV: larger, family-ready, and built to take on the competitive mid-size SUV segment.
Mitsubishi has confirmed that the Destinator will come with seven seats and five drive modes: Normal, Tarmac, Wet, Gravel, and Mud, which makes it a flexible choice for both city and off-road driving. It will also carry several safety features like ABS, EBD, traction control, and Active Yaw Control.
Two versions of the Destinator are expected, with the top variant having more features and weighing around 40kg more than the lower variant. The higher-spec model will also include a panoramic sunroof and Mitsubishi Connect, a system that lets you link your smartphone to the car for added convenience. This is the first Mitsubishi in the Philippines to offer that feature.
Under the hood, the Destinator will run on a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine that makes 161 hp and 250 Nm of torque, paired with a CVT. While it’s not a direct replacement for the Montero Sport, it brings something new to the table for families looking for a roomy, practical, and tech-ready SUV.
The launch will take place at 10:00 AM on November 20 at the Ring Garden in Ayala Malls Manila Bay. From November 20 to 23, the public can also visit the Aseana City Concert Grounds for a full display and test drive event.
