Ducati has world’s first motorcycle theme park
The first stone is set, and construction is underway.
Last November of 2017, a partnership between Ducati and Mirabilandia, Italy’s largest amusement park, was announced – a motorcycle-only themed section of the park that focuses on the Italian motorcycle marque. Located inside the existing Mirabilandia park, Ducati World will occupy 35,000 square meters and will be the first motorcycle theme park in the world.
During the groundbreaking, the management of Mirabilandia and notable Ducati personalities such as Claudio Domenicali, CEO of Ducati, and MotoGP and SBK racers Andrea Dovizioso and Marco Melandri, were in attendance and expressed excitement to try out the rides for themselves.
Thanks to the partnership with Mirabilandia, Italy's biggest amusement park, Ducati World will be able to provide a truly thrilling experience, with interactive motorcycling-themed attractions for adults and children alike. Our company has always been about passion and engagement and aims to offer Ducati enthusiasts a system that goes far beyond the experience of riding the motorcycle. Ducati World, then, fits this vision perfectly. It also tightens our bond with this incredible territory, which has forged champions and fostered an unrivalled passion for speed.
Short of owning or trying out an actual Ducati for yourself, this is probably the closest you can get to experiencing the lifestyle and motorcycles of the Italian brand yourself. Inside the park, you’ll find a race-inspired interactive roller coaster that simulates a ride on a Panigale V4. Mimicking a rider on their flagship superbike, the Panigale V4 attraction allows riders to control acceleration and braking, making every run an authentic race against another bike on parallel rails. The area will also host a facility entirely dedicated to the Ducati experience, with latest-generation ride simulators, family attractions, and a Ducati shop offering apparel and accessories. There will also be three Ducati- and Ducati Scrambler-themed food and beverage areas.
Mirabilandia is aiming high for 2019. The decision to join forces with a brand as beloved as Ducati, as renowned worldwide as it is locally, will, we believe, attract more foreigners to Mirabilandia and appeal to motorcycle and motor racing fans. Mirabilandia already offers plenty of thrills, and with Ducati we look forward to providing many more.
