Hyundai Philippines looks to be building up to be something big as the South Korean automaker is adding more up-to-date models into the country. While the Stargazer MPV has already been spotted on a transporter locally, it appears the automaker has one more trick up its sleeve to bolster its new model lineup before the year ends. This comes in the form of the refreshed Hyundai Palisade making its way to select dealerships with a P3.8 million price tag.

To recall, the Hyundai Palisade has been on sale in the local market for quite some time now with a few units making their presence known on the streets. It appears that Hyundai Motor Philippines Inc. wants to further bolster sales of these units by mounting a comeback with the refreshed model.

Official local specifications for the flagship SUV are not yet available, however, comparing it with the specifications available abroad, we suspect that it will be powered by a 2.2-liter turbo-diesel similar to what is available on the Hyundai Staria but with a higher tune. It should be able to make around 197hp and 441 Nm of torque. As for its transmission options we suspect that it will be an 8-speed automatic.
As for its interior amenities we suspect it will be similar to what's available inside the Hyundai Santa Fe but with more features and possibly a larger infotainment screen. We also think that it will come with a wide array of intelligent driver aids as well. As the SUV is now available at select dealerships from the South Korean brand. Those who want something bigger than the Santa Fe or a bigger SUV, in general, can look to the Palisade to answer their call. For now, it's a waiting game to see when Hyundai Philippines will officially launch the vehicle to the public.
