Have you been wanting to own a one-off sports car? In-line with its 70th birthday next year, the exquisite sports carmaker Ferrari decided to make that a reality by creating a total of 350 unique variants of their highly coveted lineup.
Established in 1947, the Italian marque will make 70 made-to-order special editions of each of their models in their current arsenal – California T, 488 GTB, 488 Spider, GTC4 Lusso, and F12 Berlinetta. That means each of the cars will be the only existing model in the world.
The announcement was made during the Ferrari Cavalcade, an exclusive event to best clients and most loyal collectors.
The look of each new model will come from 70 of their most iconic vehicles in the past and will be designed by the Tailor-Made Division, the team in-charge of handling extra customer orders for Ferrari. We guess we might be able to see a 250 GTO-inspired California Ts or a Ferrari Enzo-inspired 488 Spider or a 308 GTS-inspired GTC4 Lusso. Whichever they decide to make, we’re pretty sure that it would be an exciting sight.
Making each car look unique may be a difficult task but Ferrari CEO Sergio Marchionne thinks otherwise. He says that the hardest part of this is to decide who among the owners and collectors will be given the opportunity to buy one.
There are reports saying that the 350 special edition vehicles will be showcased at the Paris Motor Show in October this year. We can only speculate but will one of those 350 unique models make its way to our shores? If it does, it sure is something that we need to see…or drive.
