Say hello to Ferrari Philippines’ new baby. Called the GTC4Lusso, this grand tourer comes with four seats perfect for a small family (wink) and a powerful V12 engine. The luxury brand seems to enjoy bringing in new cars to the Philippines, as it was just a few months ago when it brought in the SuperFast nameplate.
The new GTC4Lusso features a long sloping hood and huge grille bearing the prancing horse badge. This grand tourer also has a chiselled side profile and attention-grabbing air intakes near its front wheels.
Unlike the rest of the sports car in Ferrari’s stable, the GTC4Lusso has a high C-pillar that abruptly drops at towards the rear to accommodate two rear passengers. Its backside does bare similarity to its lineup because of its taillight and four exhaust pipe layout.
Meanwhile, its dual cockpit design is clad in leather and has four wrap-around seats providing each of its occupants comfortably firm in their places. The GTC4Lusso, or Lusso, does come with a Formula 1 (F1) inspired steering wheel complete with drive mode selection and more. It also has a large 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system for its occupants to enjoy.
As for its performance, the GTC4Lusso is equipped with a massive V12 engine mounted upfront that delivers 680 hp and 697 Nm of torque. This power unit is then paired with an F1-grad seven-speed dual clutch transmission (DCT), operated via paddle shifters.
What’s amazing is that 80% of its torque is already available at just 1,750 rpm. All-in-all, this prancing horse can launch from 0-100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 335 km/h. Not as fast the SuperFast’s 2.9 seconds, but it’s close.
The GTC4Lusso is integrated with side slip control, E-Differential, and SCM-E active damping. It also is equipped with the Ferrari-patented 4RM-s system that gives this sports car four-wheel-drive and four-wheel-steering capabilities, making the driver more confident when taking corners. Even more, it has a Power Transfer Unit (PTU) for its front wheels, allowing the Lusso to manage difference in engine and wheel speeds.
All these goodies packed in a powerful grand tourer sure does sound awesome. However, Autostrada Motore, Inc., the exclusive distributor of Ferrari in the Philippines, has yet to announce when will it start taking orders of the all-new shooting brake. We'll let you know as soon as the company does so.
