The Ford Territory has quickly become a popular choice for crossover SUV buyers in the Philippines. The subcompact vehicle brings with it a great feature set, a turbocharged powerplant, and a competitive price point that is taking the segment by storm. While the vehicle itself has been around for some time in other markets, its actual model age puts it at a prime age for a replacement.
It seems that Ford Cambodia may have jumped the gun a little with the proper ASEAN reveal for the new model as the local website is now displaying what appears to be the 2023 version of the Ford Territory. It also comes with the caption “book now” displayed on its promotional page hinting that this could be what the next generation of the vehicle could look like.
While the photo doesn’t reveal too much in the way of specifications what we can see is a radical design change over the current version. The image reveals that the new Territory could be coming with a new front fascia, possibly bigger dimensions, and a flatter rear end.
If this information is to be believed then this version of the Territory will carry a bigger grille, sleeker, possibly dual-layer headlights, and a more SUV-like body overall. The wheels also appear to be larger, hinting at 18-inch wheel options possibly coming soon. Aside from this, it appears that the next generation Territory will come with much sleeker LED taillights, a new rear diffuser, and what could be rear fog lights as well.
Aside from this image, there are no other specifications that have been revealed about the vehicle so we can assume that it could have a hybrid powerplant in the works or that it will retain its 1.5-liter turbocharged engine. Ford Philippines has yet to release an official statement on the matter, but if what we are seeing is the actual vehicle then we are excited for its proper launch in the local market.
