Selected European markets will expand its Ford Ranger lineup with the MS-RT, a street-oriented version of the Ranger Raptor which combines a motorsport-inspired appearance with some unique, hand-finished details. This model can either be had in Super Cab or Double Cab body.
On the outside, its fascia features a honeycomb carbon fiber grille. Plus, the front bumper is also different, though it’s integrated with fog lights. As for the wheels, it gets a set of 20-inch OZ Racing alloy wheels. For added sportiness, the side also comes with extended wheel arches and sculpted side skirts. Other special reinforcements include the carbon fiber mirror caps, aerodynamic load bar, and MS‑RT badges.
Given that it is based on the Wildtrak, the Ford Ranger MS-RT does pack a lot of amenities inside. Features include leather upholstery accentuated with orange stitching, heated front seats, floor mats which come detailed with MS-RT details, and of course, the 8-inch touchscreen with SYNC 3, giving access to several entertainment options as well as project its standard reversing camera.
Like the Wildtrak and Raptor, the Ranger MS-RT also features a 2.0-liter Bi-Turbo diesel engine that churns out 210 hp and 500 Nm of torque. This familiar motor is also paired with a 10‑speed automatic transmission. For maximum capability, it retains the selectable four-wheel-drive system. Notably, there’s an optional Maxhaust app-controlled soundbox which is available as a dealer option for those who want a louder exhaust tune.
Ranger MS-RT is designed for customers who value Ranger’s hard-working capability but want the racing pedigree and hand-finished exclusivity of our MS-RT series. This eye-catching vehicle blends Ford’s decades of success in pick-up trucks with striking motorsport-inspired design to offer a road-focused truck combining immense kerb appeal with the hard-working ability that our customers love.
So is the Philippine market getting this new Ranger MS-RT anytime soon? We do hope so. Not to mention, that the street-oriented looks does sound like an exciting package.
