Back in October of last year, the V6-powered Ranger Raptor finally arrived on our shores, marking the long-awaited debut of the high-performance off-roader. The catch, however, was that only 300 units of the V6 Raptor were made available. This year, though, fans of the V6 Raptor can now place their orders, as Ford Philippines has increased its availability.
“Due to the overwhelming demand from our customers, we are excited to announce that the Ranger Raptor 3.0L V6 will now be a permanent addition to our performance vehicle Portfolio. The Raptor 3.0L V6 is a personal favorite, and I can’t wait for more customers to experience its exceptional power and unmatched versatility.”
If you missed all the action when it was launched, here’s a refresher. Starting with the engine, the Ranger Raptor V6 is powered by a 3.0-liter V6 Twin-Turbo EcoBoost engine paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Delivering an impressive 392 hp of maximum power and 583 Nm of torque, it offers exceptional performance on and off the road. Adding to its appeal is a class-exclusive electronically-controlled active exhaust system, letting drivers switch between mild and wild engine sounds at the push of a button. Helpful if you’re trying to keep noise down for your neighbors.
Built to conquer rugged terrain, the Ranger Raptor 3.0L V6 features an upgraded suspension with Ford Performance-tuned FOX 2.5-inch Live Valve internal bypass shock absorbers, ensuring smooth, confident handling in even the toughest conditions.
With the MyMode “R” button, drivers can tailor their driving experience, adjusting settings for steering, suspension, exhaust mode, four-wheel drive, and even rear differential activation. The advanced permanent four-wheel-drive system, introduced in the Ranger Raptor 3.0L V6, includes an electronically controlled on-demand two-speed transfer case and front and rear locking differentials—an essential combination for serious off-road enthusiasts.
Drivers can also fine-tune their experience by choosing their preferred exhaust sound, steering feel, and suspension damping directly from the steering wheel or by selecting one of the pre-set drive modes.
Complementing the equipment set are up to seven selectable drive modes, including the off-road-oriented ‘Baja’ mode for extreme high-speed off-roading. Each selectable drive mode adjusts a number of elements from engine and transmission to ABS sensitivity and calibration, traction and stability controls, exhaust valve actuation, steering, throttle response, and even the instrument cluster and center touchscreen. Depending on the mode, the color scheme of the digital displays changes to match the Mode.
“The enhanced availability of the Ranger Raptor 3.0L for Filipino customers further expands the Raptor brand in the country, complementing the Ranger Raptor 2.0L Bi-Turbo Diesel Engine. Pickup enthusiasts now have the option to choose which Raptor pickup truck suits their needs and lifestyles,” adds Simoes.
The Ranger Raptor 3.0L V6 is available at P2,739,000 with a 5-year warranty. Considering owning this hardcore pickup truck? Check it out on AutoDeal.com.ph now.
