It has been one whole year since the Ford Territory launched in the Philippines. Back in September 2020, the American automaker brought the compact crossover to our shores. It has since sold very well and has amassed fans from all over the country.
The Territory has proved to be one of Ford's most popular models since its launch. For the first half of 2021, the Territory was Ford's 2nd best-selling model, next only to the Ranger. Nearly a third of the company's vehicle sales this year have come from the Territory.
Ford hs also been a leader in the compact crossover segment. The Territory has cornered 56% of the segment, with 3,323 units sold for the first half of the year. From August 2020 to June 2021, Ford sold 5,248 units, achieving the 5,000-vehicle milestone along the way.
The Territory has garnered a large following locally, even spurring the Ford Territory Club Philippines. The club's Facebook group currently boasts over 12,000 members. More followers are sure to join as Ford continues to sell the Territory at an impressive rate.
The 2021 Ford Territory is available now. In our review of the compact crossover, we mentioned its great tech features and affordable price point. The Territory is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged EcoBoost engine that produces 141 hp and 225 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the front wheels via a continuously variable transmission (CVT). Ford's compact crossover gets LED headlights, taillights, daytime running lights (DRLs), and turn indicators. It also comes with 18-inch two-tone alloy wheels.
Of course, the Territory also features a signature 10-inch infotainment system with Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay. Other notable features include a 360-degree camera, adaptive cruise control, active park assist, autonomous emergency braking, forward-collision warning, blind-spot monitoring, lane departure warning, and a tire pressure monitoring system.
The Ford Territory is available in two trim levels. The base model Trend is priced at P1,277,00, while the top-spec Titanium+ sells for P1,310,00.
