Ford Philippines closed the month of February 2015 on high as they continue their momentum with a chart-topping sales performance. For the record, this was their best-ever February performance with retail sales rising up to 38% year-over-year. A total of 1,759 units were successfully sold, led by the EcoSport, Ranger, Explorer, and Fiesta.
“We’re continuing to see positive customer response to our full showroom of global Ford vehicles in the Philippines,” said Kay Hart, Managing Director of Ford Philippines. “Our line-up is appealing to, and meeting the needs and requirements of such a wide range of work and lifestyles, and delivering the safety, quality, fuel efficiency, smart technology, and value for money our customers expect from Ford.”
Launched in the Philippines last April 2014, Ford’s all-new EcoSport compact crossover managed to boost the brand’s overall industry performance. The EcoSport has established a sales record amounting to 652 units, thus further helping to define a new segment class.
Meanwhile, the Ranger posted a February retail sales record of 12% year-over-year, with up to 725 units sold. Furthermore, February 2015 sales for the Fiesta were at 160 units, while the premium Explorer SUV has sold a total of 99 units.
Ford plans to continue the expansion of its nationwide dealer network to 40 locations this year, helping support growth and serve an expanding base of customers with world-class customer and ownership experiences. New dealership openings are planned for Malolos, Sta. Rosa, Ormoc, and Palawan.
