Ford Philippines appears to be weathering the pandemic better than most other automakers. The company has stayed resilient at a time when the industry has struggled. The company posted an impressive 57% retail growth rate in the first nine months of 2021.
In raw numbers, Ford Philippines has sold 14,704 vehicles this year. The Ranger and Territory played a significant part in the company's strong sales figures. The Ranger contributed 6,695 units on its way to a 38% market share in the 4x4 pickup truck segment. Meanwhile, the Territory is continuing its ascent, having sold 4,993 units with an astounding 58% market share in the compact crossover segment.
Looking at the quarterly figures, Ford sold 4,849 vehicles during the third quarter of the year, good for a 21% sales growth over the same period in 2020. The Ranger and Territory accounted for 2,180 and 1,669 units in that period, respectively.
In September, Ford achieved more impressive milestones. The automaker posted its best month of the year with 1,783 vehicles sold, a 15% increase from the same month last year. The Territory also sold 742 units in September, the crossover's best month since launching in 2020.
With its strong sales figures, Ford Philippines is poised to go into the new year with a confident outlook. New models and updates appear to be in the pipeline for the brand, and we can't wait to see what the company has in store for its fans.
For now, the Ranger and Territory are available locally. The Ford Ranger starts at P1,155,000 for the base model 2.2 XLS 4x2 MT variant. The price goes up to P1,758,000 for the range-topping 2.0 Biturbo FX4 MAX 4x4 AT model. The Ford Territory is available at P1,277,00 for the Trend variant, while the top-spec Titanium variant sells for P1,310,000.
