Ford Philippines announced the Ford Ranger’s 2019 record sales with a full-year retail sales rising by 27% from 14,759 to an overall full-year retail sales to 21,900 vehicles.
December retail sales hit its best monthly performance in 2019. Based on the year-on-year metric, 2,214 vehicles were sold by the marking a 14% increase driven by the Ford Ranger with its all-time best monthly performance with sales growing 35% year-on-year to 1,656 vehicles.
The Ford Ranger successfully drove our retail performance last year, hitting another all-time record high in vehicle sales. Truly, the demand for the segment-defining pickup truck has grown to an exponential level with its ‘Built Ford Tough’ capabilities that remain unmatched in the Philippine market.
A total of 11 variants of the Ford Ranger are on offer from Ford Philippines. These include the Ranger Raptor, Ranger Wildtrak, Ranger XLT, and Ranger XLS. Every pickup variant addresses most consumers’ needs, budgets, and lifestyles. The base variant of the Ranger was of exceedingly good value thanks to the sub-P1,000,000 price tag that allowed units to be more accessible for consumers looking for a versatile, tough, and world-class pickup.
Other models in the Ford lineup performed admirably as well. After an update in the latter half of 2019, the Ford Everest managed to deliver full-year sales of 4,165 units, with December sales increasing by 32 percent from the previous month to 304 vehicles. The EcoSport subcompact crossover delivered sales of 2,138 vehicles in 2019 in lieu of improved driving performance with the 1.0L EcoBoost engine added to the lineup.
Ford dealerships are continually getting increased since last year with the opening of a new facility in Marikina, bringing the total number of Ford dealers across the country to 49, allowing the Ford brand to have a reach that is now wider than before.
