The Ford Territory gets new top-of-the-line Platinum variant

Ford marks the Territory Hybrid's first anniversary with a new range-topping model priced at P1.655 million.

Ford Philippines has expanded the Territory Hybrid lineup with the launch of the new Territory Hybrid Platinum, a range-topping variant that brings a more premium take on the brand's bestselling small hybrid crossover SUV. Arriving a year after the Territory Hybrid's local debut, the new model builds on the nameplate's success, with Ford reporting 4,405 units sold as of June 2026.

Inside, the Territory Hybrid Platinum receives several upgrades over the standard model. Platinum design quilted leather upholstery, ventilated front seats, and illuminated Platinum scuff plates give the cabin a more premium atmosphere. Ford has also introduced a new Digital Scent system, a first for the segment, which allows occupants to select from six fragrance profiles that are dispensed through an integrated, alcohol-free diffuser built into the center console. Three scents come pre-installed, while the remaining options are available through Ford dealerships. Drivers can also adjust fragrance intensity directly from the 12-inch touchscreen.

The cabin's entertainment system also gets an upgrade with a 10-speaker Arkamys sound system featuring a center speaker, subwoofer, 320-watt amplifier, and 9-band equalizer. The system supports a simulated 5.1 surround sound experience and allows users to tailor the audio output depending on whether they want to prioritize the driver, rear passengers, or the entire cabin.

Other convenience features include a panoramic sunroof, a hands-free power tailgate, illuminated door sill plates, and a smart air filtration system equipped with a PM2.5 filter and ionizer. Cargo space measures 448 liters with the rear seats in place and expands to 1,442 liters when the second row is folded.

On the outside, the Territory Hybrid Platinum adopts a more distinctive appearance through a two-tone front bumper, black roof, gloss black exterior accents, and exclusive Platinum badging on the hood and tailgate. New 19-inch alloy wheels, gloss black roof rails, and a full-width LED daytime running light further differentiate the flagship variant. Automatic High Beam headlights also come standard.

Power comes from the same 1.5-liter four-cylinder dedicated hybrid engine paired with a two-speed dedicated hybrid transmission and a 1.83-kWh lithium-ion NCM battery. The gasoline engine produces 148 hp and 230 Nm of torque, while the electric motor delivers up to 215 hp and 315 Nm. Depending on driving conditions, the hybrid system automatically switches between EV, Series, Parallel, and Energy Recovery modes to optimize efficiency and performance.

Ford says regenerative braking and energy recovery help recharge the battery without plugging in, allowing the Territory Hybrid Platinum to achieve a claimed fuel economy of 19.6 km/L and a driving range of up to 1,000 km on a full tank.

Technology also sees a notable update. Dual 12-inch displays remain standard, along with wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Ford app connectivity. The Platinum variant also adds Traffic Jam Assist and Integrated Cruise Assist to its suite of advanced driver assistance systems.

Traffic Jam Assist works alongside Adaptive Cruise Control to help manage steering, acceleration, and braking in slow-moving traffic below 60 km/h while keeping the vehicle centered in its lane whenever lane markings are visible. Once speeds increase beyond 60 km/h, Integrated Cruise Assist takes over by providing gentle steering inputs while Adaptive Cruise Control manages speed and following distance, making highway drives less demanding. If lane markings become unclear, the system prompts the driver to take control before disengaging.

For the price of the new top-of-the-line Territory, Ford Philippines has priced the new Territory Hybrid Platinum at an introductory P1,655,000, which includes a five-year warranty and a free two-year Scheduled Service Plan (SSP). The new flagship variant will be offered in Moonbay Blue, Lustrous Grey, and Crystal Pearl White, with reservations opening at Ford dealerships nationwide starting today.
