For the 3rd consecutive year, United Asia Automotive Group, Inc. (UAAGI), the exclusive local distributor of FOTON vehicles, joins Department of Education’s Brigada Eskwela 2016 through its FOTON Total Care program.
FOTON employees and executives helped by reconstructing and cleaning up 2 schools – Andres Mariano Elementary School in Bagbaguin, Valenzuela and Pacondo Elementary School in Angeles, Pampanga.
The adopted educational institutions were rehabilitated in order for the students to have a good learning environment. This includes repair and repainting of gutters, classroom walls, black boards, tables, and chairs.
“To be given a chance to help the students of two schools is something that we are grateful for because through our team’s assistance, we were able to touch their lives, we were able to make their second home a better place,” said FOTON Philippines VP for HRAD Ms. Mary Ann Zacarias.
In addition to that, FOTON Philippines also conducted Oplan Balik Eskwela 2016 for the 2nd year in a row. It’s an internal program wherein their employees’ children in primary schools were given school supplies that they can use to aid their learning.
“It’s not merely helping out because we want to fulfil our corporate social responsibility. It’s sending out our participation because we want to and we value the Filipino children’s education,” Zacarias added.
